New album https://zahhak-band.bandcamp.com/album/yakh sounds acceptable.

Just putting an opinion in here - maybe other moderators would think it's worth another spin through queue, but doesn't sound metal here. A lot of filler, and start-stop riffs that don't really go anywhere.

I would say that's a very accurate description, I'm not hearing much metal and would definitely lean towards no. Let's wait for the next album.

I'm commenting mainly to keep this off of page 4. I still feel like this is noise rock over anything, but it's very borderline, so I've asked for a second opinion. You should have an answer in a day or two.

Two more mods gave it a listening, and all three of us agree that this is still an unacceptable blend of noise rock and hardcore-rooted sludge. Good stuff, but blacklisting stays for now.
