For those who admire the band, it's known that the man led an intriguing life; not only was he a musician and an inspiration to his son, but he also excelled as a professional tennis player, a writer, and a filmmaker. The "delete that" segment in Metallica's "Some Kind of Monster" is also the stuff of legend.
