You know what today is!

Metal, or non-Metal - what are your favourite love songs?

My top 5:

Basia Bulat - Are You In Love (I adore this track and the entire waltz-y/slow swaying vibe)

Bruce Springsteen - Tougher Than The Rest (a love song that upfront says, ehh, maybe I'm not the biggest casanova or perfect being, but maybe I've got what you need/want)

Sam Cooke - I Wish You Love (Could have picked NUMEROUS Sam Cooke songs - as he is the smoothest motherfucker to ever live, but I'll go with this one)

The Righteous Brothers - Unchained Melody (Don't care how fucking cliche this is. It's a standard and a cliche for a reason. And that reason is because it's brilliant)

Cradle Of Filth - Nymphetamine (YEP. It's super romantic and hypnotic. Where some people would pick a Type O Negative song, I pick this)

I always loved the Jon English song Six Ribbons. It has this old medieval England vibe to it. The Black Majesty cover of it is pretty good too.
Spoiler: show

When I was young and always watching animation one of my favorite animes had Takahashi Hiro's アンバランスなKissをして as the ending credits song for a while, and I just love the overall groove of it.
Spoiler: show

Kim Kwang Seok is one of Korea's most famous musicians and his sad love songs are one of the reasons why. His harmonica hits hard.
Spoiler: show

It's not a thread about love songs without Type O Negative

Love songs eh? Well Fooled Around and Fell in Love by Elvin Bishop and of course Up Where We Belong by Joe Cocker. But when your boy here is really in love the song I’d Rather Be With You by Bootsy Collins is a staple.

Does In Every Dream Home A Heartache count as a love song?

Spoiler: show
I bought you mail order
My plain wrapper baby
Your skin is like vinyl
The perfect companion
You float in my new pool
Deluxe and delightful
Inflatable doll
My role is to serve you
Disposable darling
Can't throw you away now
Immortal and life size
My breath is inside you
I'll dress you up daily
And keep you till death sighs
Inflatable doll
Lover ungrateful
I blew up your body
But you blew my mind

Not sure if it counts (who makes the rules about that), but I had never heard this song and it's pretty great.

N_S listen to something other than Beach House challenge (Impossible)

'I can't live without you... I'll be the last one at the bar.
There's just something about you... when I look out at the stars.'

:hyper: | But in all seriousness, it would have been awesome to see how he would evolve as a musician to these days
