Didn't want to bother the main board with this but have a song stuck in my head but can't figure out who does it.

Vocals are gruff but understandable (not screamed or low growls) and the part that is suck in my head is a repeated refrain of "Suicide Dreams!" or something very close to that in that pattern. Not a local band - definitely someone in the larger metal genre somewhere - death/black/thrash/doom for sure.

Apologize for the vagueness but I've driven myself mad trying to figure it out.

Thanks for any help. Appreciated.

Maybe this?

I’ve always misunderstood the lyric “psilocybin tea” in a similar manner.

The line actually is "psilocybe tea". It just sounds like it could be something else due to the vocal effects. Fitting that that's the line considering that the song is about tripping on mushrooms.

I've heard a lot of that kind of fungi grow on cow crap. And when used, they could make one vomit a lot. Be careful out there!

You just gotta clean the shrooms very thoroughly if you’re making them yourself.

And, most crucial of all: Many people are not as mycologically versed as they and their druggie friends would (have them) believe.
