What is there now is mostly pretty unhinged devilishness, but I would like to use music as a vehicle for philosophy too. I come from a philosophy background. Studying Nietzsche led me to Buddhist philosophy, and by the time I read any Zen I was already awake and it was just further validation. I appreciate the time learning about their tradition though. I am a PhD candidate at Yale, so I can play scholar somewhat convincingly, but I am not a scholar. I got rid of my books. I read the Bible a few years ago, and I feel stirred by it. Not to become a Christian, but to become the Antichrist. Not because I believe in their myths, but because they are alive in our world, and intersect with Nietzsche's myth of the overman, which for him was also a matter of destiny for the species. What he called Overman or Antichrist, they will call Antichrist and evil. It is Satanic, it is unbelief, but in a zen fashion, where belief bubbles and decays.

Well, yes, I let go of everything. But Nietzsche is right; you canr just be a cow in the field after that. Letting go is liberation, after all. One is not a cow. One is a human. But a wild human.

I see a certain parity between Buddhism and Satanism, which only tells us how much Christians have demonized liberation. But Christ was liberated in the Buddhist sense.

It is skeptical: one sees that ultimately, nothing is true. But there is an apparent world, and within it, why not say this or that? I am an animal howling. If you perceive it as speech, that is your own lying eyes. My eyes lie too. All eyes do. Every truth is provisional. Look closer, and it falls apart.

I guess we have different ideas about what "conversation" means then.

Drugs are of very limited use, but not to be slandered and dismissed altogether. They have a role to play, and shouldn't be categorically demonized, nor should we just playfully associate mental aberration with drug abuse, as if it weren't our culture that is the real disease upon us, of which these other things are more significantly just symptoms.

This has the same energy as that guy 11 years ago who claimed to wield magic because he sometimes correctly guessed who he'd be paired up with for class assignments.
